Making new friends

Hey everyone!
I know I haven't posted on here in a really long time but I'm playing catch-up now haha.
Things have been going very smooth for the past few weeks and now everyone is getting along in the apartment! It took a few tries at tweaking our habits and one big scream session to work it all out. What else could you do as college roommates?
As for some new things happening around here, I've recently been able to start volunteering at the local mental hospital :) It's so much fun and it really gets me excited to work in the field once I graduate.  Some of the people that live there are very nice and I've actually become friends with some of them :) Being able to get experience like this is a seriously huge helping tool for when you go into the real work force of Psychology.
Other than volunteering,  I'm very proud to say that I've become a member of the Bloomsburg University Gospel Choir!  I've waited years to have an opportunity like this pop up and I'm so glad that I joined :D Not only do I get the chance to sing my heart out but I also get to vent all my stress when I'm there. It helps a lot, especially with how taxing the piles of school work and social problems the days give us all.
I hope that this trend of fun and stress relief keeps going until break!

Until Next Time,

Adjusting and Welcoming Fall!

Hey everyone! How are all of you? I'm great, considering I'm now getting used to living on the  highest point on campus. Making it to class on time with these shuttles has become a daily mission of mine haha, one that I've become quite good at :) Other than that, the roommate issue that I mentioned in my last post, has been more or less resolved for the moment.

Also, has anyone else that's new to the school feel like they're legs are on fire when walking campus? No? I hope it's not just me! For those of you who don't know, main campus at BloomU has a ton of stairs as well as one or two steep climbs. For anyone who's not used to taking them on at 7am, it can be a serious workout. So far I've managed to start getting used to it, and it's helped me lose weight :)

For now I think I'm just going to enjoy this amazing Fall weather and get some homework done!

Until Next Time,

Settling in dreary days

I know it's been awhile since I posted, moving is a nightmare lol. Now that I'm all moved in, the only thing left to do is find a fun event.

While I was looking, I had to hangout in the apartment. Now, I know very few people have luck with roommates, but I was hoping I wouldn't have any trouble with them.....apparently I'm not so lucky.

I think it's safe to say I won't be spending too much time here and more time on main campus.  Hopefully things clear up but until then, the countdown to classes begins!

Until next time,

New Begining!

Hey everyone! This is my first University blog and I thought I'd tell you a little bit about how I got here :) After I graduated in 2012, I went straight into a local community college. I only went because I wanted to get my feet wet before I took the big plunge into my university years.

Sadly, this stage took a little longer than I thought it would. Like two years too long.

By this time I was desperate to get out of the community college routine. It was so boring! Day in and day out of the same old plain hallway. Yeah, that's right, my old college was no longer than a standard hallway.  Exciting right? This just made me more determind than ever to get out of there.

That's where BloomU came in :) I was accepted this past spring and my orientation was just last week; I've never felt more at home than I do here. The campus is beautiful and the people are the nicest I've ever met! There's always something new going on there so no student can ever say 'I'm bored!' lol.

I'm so excited to start my new beginning and I'm so happy that it's at BloomU :)
